Hey guys!
Good work.
I have a request. How about expanding your selection criteria to include people like us, who are 21-25, out of college and in our first jobs? We do write, but it’s tough to find jobs without experience. If you help us publish, it would go a great way in building our resume.
Regards,
Purnima.
i second purnima….
i still have a year and few months before i turn 25 …so guys r u listening…bit more relaxation…if possible
I agree with Purnima and Parthajeet!! I’m 24 and advertising professional. I’ve been working since I was in my first year of college and I have loads to say and talk about. If you guys open up to people our age, we can be helpful in providing tips to those coming into the job market.
Sleep on it…Pray on it…
didnt think writing here can help u get a job :O is that so?
Hello!!
I am a student who is thnking of publishing my work here and I was wondering who operates this website and what exactly is the goal of Ex Nihilo.
Why have a word limit of 1000 words for non-fiction? Some of us find it hard to economize with words (though I agree it is important). Why not allow 1500-2000 words?
How many days after we submit our pieces do we find out whether it’s been accepted or rejected? No particular time frame has been mentioned as to when you get back to us, so I was just wondering.
I honestly think you should reconsider accepting written work from blogs, or any other piece for the matter.
A blog is something that not many people come across and this gives them a larger and much more widely read sharing platform. I did read the introduction to both issues (May and June) and disagree with what you’re saying.
A blog is just a blog after all, a *personal* webspace which is read mostly only by friends. I agree on the “published in magazines” front, because that’s a different issue all together.
Either way, it’s your call.
There’s nothing I can do about it, except rant like this.
